Overview

BookingCenter is an Application Service Provider (known in the Internet industry as an ASP) for property resellers and web businesses that want to add real-time bookings to their Internet business, develop an inexpensive Call Center, or perform Central Reservation Services for a network of properties. BookingCenter ASP customers takes advantage of:

• Simple software that can be provided to ALL computers in the ASP network to publish, manage, and price inventory. The software connects to the BookingCenter Service over any Internet connection and runs on all Macintosh and PCs.
  
  
• The BookingCenter service that allows ASP managers to log-in for review and reporting of all booking and commissions within their ’ASP network’. Additionally, each property in the network gains full access to a secure Member's Area to manage their bookings and guest communications.
  
  
• If the ASP is operating a hospitality booking business, the BookingCenter Network can publish the rates, inventory, and content of each property to the two most popular GDS systems (Galileo and Sabre) as well as over 2,500 travel websites where customers are buying. The ASP derives a commission from all bookings made through this booking network.

The Business Model

Businesses that sign-up as a BookingCenter ASP create revenue in numerous ways:

Commissions From Bookings.
All bookings made from an ASP site - and the individual property sites - are charged a negotiated commission on net bookings. BookingCenter shares in the commissions with the ASP, with the percentage depending upon who collects the commissions and from what network the booking was transacted.

Commissions From Software Sales.
The ASP receives a commission from each sale of a BookingCenter software license based upon the number of properties they sign up. Individual properties can manage directly the automatic updating of rates and availability - or the ASP reservation manager can do so for them via web forms, telephone, fax, or email. Regardless, each property in the network becomes a unique BookingCenter license.

Sign-up and Hosting Fees for the Booking Service.
Each property in ASP’s network will be able to provide real-time bookings direct from their website as well as the ASP’s and BookingCenter.com Network. Many ASPs charge hosting and sign-up fees to properties for the setup and maintenance of this real-time service.

Recurring Service Fees.
Each property in the Network has the ability to use Point-of-Sale technology to transact their online bookings or local credit/debit card transactions, telecommunications services such as Call Accounting and Internet Backups assuring 24 x disaster recovery. ASP customers of BookingCenter receive a % of these recurring revenues.

Costs to Create a Booking Business

There are hosting and customization costs to create a BookingCenter.com ASP business.

Hosting Fees
Monthly hosting fees are charged ASP customers who require a private-labeled service. This guarantees 99.9% “up-time” from a secure network architecture balanced from our two server locations in San Francisco, California and Sydney, Australia. Daily backups and firewall security are used to protect the integrity of the ASP’s data. Robust Unix servers, Oracle databases, and OMNIS data engines are run to assure enterprise-strength stability.

Customization Costs
There are three levels of customization offered BookingCenter ASP customers:

• Co-Branded ASP businesses receive a customized booking interface to the booking screens, report screens, and Booking URLs. Members of the network log-in to the BookingCenter.com Member's Area and have the same access to online support, commission reporting, and booking & guest management as all BookingCenter customers.
  
  
• Privately Labeled booking businesses receive all the features of the Co-Branded option plus a completely customized support, commission processing, and booking & guest management for each property. This is especially important if the ASP is using the service as a Call Center or Central Reservations Solution and wants all properties and/or travel customers to maintain a single brand experience through the booking and management process. This option also enables custom reporting capabilities from the system.
  
  
• Licensed customers receive a complete system that they host or we host. BookingCenter has a turnkey solution for managing your network business including:
  
  
  • Customers - a complete CRM system (Customer Relationship Management) allowing the ASPs to perform automated email and traditional marketing, e-commerce control and management, and registration/subscription management. From anywhere!
    
    
  • Bookings - complete integration with the BookingCenter management software and Network distribution for each property to sell unused inventory 24 x 7 through over 2,500 websites and 2 GDS systems at NO FEE.   • Reporting - BookingCenter can report on all e-commerce transactions that go through your web business, all registrations/subscriptions, visitation patterns, and supplier activity in your network. Perfect for the Call Centers that will be handling the bookings for your suppliers.
