Assigning a Rate Plan to your website, GDS, and Member's Area
Minimum Length of Stay and Maximum Length of Stay Issues with Rate Plan to Sources: BC and WR
Adding Negotiated Rates and Net Rate plans
Each Rate Plan in MyPMS can be setup to be a 'parent' or a 'child' of another rate plan. There is a specific online FAQ that covers this topic here, as well as detailed information in the Reference Manual..
Assigning a Rate Plan to the correct destination (website, GDS, Net Rates, etc)
At setup, each customer has been setup for MyPMS with Rate Plans associated with the three main sources: BC, WR, and BCM. To ADD or REMOVE a Rate Plan from one of these booking channels, do the following:
Go to Setup -> Contact Management -> Sources and click the Source that you are interested in from the list. (See section above for detailed on which Source you want to edit.)

This brings you to the actual Source where you can ADD and DELETE a Rate Plan to be diplayed. * Note - Source BC, BCM, and WR can only have one Rate Plan asigned.

To UPDATE a Rate Plan, simply edit the Rate Plan during the desired season. See the Reference Manual for how to do this. To remove the current Rate, click the button and choose 'Delete' and that Rate Planis now removed and then add one by choosing it from the list and click ADD.
Minimum Length of Stay and Maximum Length of Stay Issues with Rate Plan to Sources: BC and WR
Within each season, there can only be one minLOS/maxLOS for any Rate Plan that will be allocated to Source: BC or WR. Each season can have unique minLOS/maxLOS, but all rooms within the Season must have the same minLOS/maxLOS for each Rate Plan going to sources: WR and BC. For all other sources this is not a requirement.
To GDS agents, Net Rate companies, and Negotaited Rates
Anytime you sign-up a new company to any negotiated rate or NetRate, the new Rate Plan must be set-up within BookingCenter. Unfortunately BookingCenter cannot 'load' these rates for you, as they are set at the property level. Each negotiated rate or NetRate will be required to have a special 'code' that the Company or Net Rate entity uses in the Pegasus or GDS systems. This is placed in the CRS code section, so that the Rate Plan can be correctly 'allocated' to only the appropriate destination. To load the new Rate, please complete the following:
Each new Program (in this case called 'xxxx') must be a new Rate Plan (Set-up -> Rates -> Add). When you enter the CRS Code, please put in xxxx.
Once the new Rate Plan ('xxxx') has been set-up, you need to allocate that rate plan to the 'Source: TV1 (for example, Travelocity)'. This is done under Set-up -> Sources -> TV1
This process needs to happen for all your NetRates, Negotiated Rates, and Consortia Rates. Once this is complete, please let BookingCenter Support know and we will make sure the negotiated is loaded and ready through the appropriate channel.
Managing Agent Rates through the BookingCenter Central Reservation Service
Finding new customers through programs such as the Net Rates or the GDS is a good idea. Having them come back to you directly - to book at your website or via your email/phone - is smart business. BookingCenter provides a way to create and manage Rate Plans for any needs - special events, mid week discounts, local agents, etc - so that your website transacts repeat business instead of the expense of a GDS or a Net Rate transaction. These Rate Plans are set in the MyPMS product, but the relationship to your Central Reservation Systems is established in the Member's Area (the link is found in the 'setup' area of MyPMS, accessible only to managers).

Every Agent has a specific commission, allocation, rate (pricing) and network loading.
