If your BookingCenter datafile is corrupt and you would like help repairing it, we recommend purchasing a Support Contract and having the BookingCenter Support Team fix the problem BEFORE YOU MAKE IT WORST! However, we have had quite a few customers who do not like paying for Support, and therefore we have made a few UNSUPPORTED TOOLS available to users of BookingCenter. These tools are found in the Utilities section of BookingCenter and fix common datafile errors.

Steps to take

Understand that any work you do in the Utilities section without specific guidance by a BookingCenter Support Staff is UNSUPPORTED! You could do serious damage to your datafile and we recommend contacting supporrt@BookingCenter.com before attempting to do any work. Proceed at your own risk!!

Make a BACKUP of your datafile!!!!! You do not want to work on your only copy. If this process hurts your datafile and your business histories are gone, it will be on your conscious for NOT reading this!!!!

General Database Repairing

1. Quit all but one copy of BookingCenter (ie, no second computers connmected to the database)
2. Go to BookingCenter | Parameters | Utilities
3. Enter the password: precious
4. Click on the button that says “Check Datafile”.
5. Click “Full Check”
6. BookingCenter will report all repaired data to a screen report titled “Check Data Log“. Make sure you print this report of problems that were found as the BookingCenter Support Team can help fix many of these errors with your database.
