SAN FRANCISCO, Calif May 15, 2000-- BookingCenter, a provider of Internet reservation services, is partnering with WorldRes.com to develop an automated, two-way interface between the BookingCenter Property Management System (PMS) and the WorldRes.com network.
BookingCenter PMS users will have a seamless connection to the WorldRes.com system. This will make it easier to input their hotel's descriptive information and automate the process of maintaining current rates and availability, while accepting real-time confirmed reservations from WorldRes.com's extensive network of distribution partners, including AOL, Lycos, Yahoo!, Sabre/Travelocity and Galileo.
BookingCenter already enables properties to be booked online through their own web sites. With a single mouse click, BookingCenter customers can synchronizes local reservations with web reservations received through WorldRes.com, saving the hotelier from manually entering that data.
"Through WorldRes.com, our client hotels can easily sell rooms at the most popular travel portals and get exposure to travel agents," said Jeff Tweddale, President of BookingCenter. "BookingCenter PMS's one click data synchronization is much easier then updating through a web browser. And it significantly reduces the effort and potential errors in selling on many web sites."
